MSG (Michael Schenker Group) – Live & Ready: The Best Of MSG Live 1980 – 1984

(mh) Michael Schenker, der als gitarristisches Wunderkind bei UFO von 1973-1978 agierte, danach wieder bei den Scorpions einstieg, startete seine unglaubliche Solo-Karriere mit MSG – The Michael Schenker Band!

Die fünf CD’s bieten folgende Shows:
• CD 1: Manchester Apollo, Manchester, 30. September 1980 (Aufgenommen von der explosiven Debüt-Tournee, mit frühen MSG-Klassikern)
• CD 2 & 3: Nippon Budokan, Tokio, 12. August 1981 (Die legendäre Show, die MSG auf dem Höhepunkt ihres Könnens zeigt)
• CD 4: Hammersmith Odeon, London, 22. und 23. Oktober 1983 (Mit den „Special Guests“ Rudolf Schenker und Klaus Meine von den Scorpions. Diese Show ist zum ersten Mal in ihrer Gesamtheit erhältlich)
• CD 5: Seibu Stadion, Tokio, 12. August 1984 (Ein Powerhouse-Festival-Set, das MSGs melodische Metal-Meisterschaft unter Beweis stellt)
– DVD (Hammersmith Odeon, London, 22. und 23. Oktober 1983 & Seibu-Stadion, Tokio, 12. August 1984 – bisher nur auf Laserdisc in Japan erhältlich)

Auf den fünf CD’s sind alle Klassiker der frühen MSG-Karriere enthalten, mit zusätzlichen Live-Raritäten. Natürlich dürfen auch einige UFO-Klassiker nicht fehlen.

Die DVD manifestiert die elektrisierende Live-Energie von MSG mit zwei Konzert-Features:

Seibu Stadium, Tokyo, 12th August 1984

Die DVD beinhaltet Bildmaterial der MSG Hits „Armed & Ready“, „Into The Arena“ und als Highlight „Captain Nemo“. Mister Schenker & Bandkollegen zelebrieren Ihre Virtuosität mit toller Spielfreude und in absoluter Höchstform.

ist ein tolles musikalisches Live-Dokument der ersten Ära von MSG – The Michael Schenker Group. Es darf absolut in keiner Fan-Kollektion und jedes Hard-Rockers, der Live-Konzerte liebt, fehlen.
