(komplette redaktion) Wie seit einigen Jahren schon kultiviert sponsort unser Blog auch zum diesjährigen Freak Valley Festival eine Band, außerdem ist unser Blog durch Freak Valley Stage-Announcer Volker Fröhmer (Chef des Rockblogbluesspots, wie wir ihn zu nennen pflegen) dort im Einsatz, und natürlich noch durch Judith, Kirsten, Yvonne und zweimal Jens für die Schreib- und Photogeschichten. Eigentlich wäre unser Sponsoring 2023 an Stoned Jesus gegangen,- aber da sie aus bekannten Gründen ihre gesamte Tour und Freak Valley absagen müssen das folgende Statement der Band: „Das bedeutet auch, dass wir keine Spenden durch Merchverkauf von der Tour zurückbringen können, Spenden an diejenigen, die nach dem Leiden wirklich Hilfe brauchen in Folge der russischen Invasion.“

Die Wahl für unsere Band 2023 ist dann auf Hypnos69 gefallen, einer belgischen Legende!
Die 1994 gegründete Band schöpft stark aus Psychedelic und Space Rock der 1960er und 1970er Jahre. In einer fast dreißigjährigen Karriere veröffentlichte die Band fünf Studioalben, während sie in ganz Europa auftrat.
2012 löste sich Hypnos 69 auf. Im September 2022 kamen Hypnos 69 für die 25 Years OrangeFactory in Leuven, Belgien, wieder zusammen. Hypnos 69 ist: Steve Houtmeyers – Gitarre, Theremin, Synthesizer, Gesang Dave Houtmeyers – Schlagzeug, Perkussion Tom Vanlear – Bass, Moog-Basspedale Steven Marx – Saxophon, Flöte.
